About

Ramzi Shadid is a Palestinan/Jordanian architect and designer currently pursuing a Master in Architecture (M.Arch) at the University of Luxembourg. He received a B.Arch from An-Najah National University, where he was awarded a number of prizes through his participation in local and international competitions. Recently, he obtained a Google UX Design certificate through the Amideast Scholarship Programme.

Soon after graduating, he practiced locally and internationally for three years at a number of well-known firms. As a project designer on large-scale institutional and commercial projects, he was part of the lead design team for the Okarki Future District, a large-scale mixed-use development in Nigeria, and worked heavily on large masterplans in the Middle East, Australia, and Ethiopia.

Shadid previously interned at Ark-Architecture in Tunisia, GIS Lab in Malaysia, Amara Architects, and Builders Architects & Engineers. His most recent experience was as a full-time project designer for Saffarini Architects & Associates, Palestine.

Ramzi's work explores the crossover between still architecture, product design, and UX. As an architect, he believes that design speaks to the mind and soul on a spiritual level while also appealing to the senses. Interested in experimental, advanced architectural design, the intersection of digital products, human sensory, and research-based architecture.
