Experienced Architectural Designer/Graduate Architect who graduated with a MArch(Prof) Masters of Architecture Professional (1st Hons) from the University of Auckland. With 4 years of work experience working in New Zealand and New York City, I have recently returned to New Zealand to continue my architectural journey.
I have a strong passion for experiences. My core belief is that life is a series of experiences and architecture is a powerful medium that inherently affects the way we feel and perceive. My thesis 'The Smellarium: An Exploration of Olfactory Architecture' researched and designed with the intention of building memories through architecture and smell. I am interested in authentic connections that produce a unique response; remaining in our experiences and connecting us to architecture.
My work ethic is proactive, hard-working and self-motivated. My motto is that whatever I do, I do to the best of my ability; from small to big jobs. I take initiative where possible and am passionate about creativity, innovation and sustainability. I am open-minded and willing to try new things, as enjoy working in a team. I believe that ideas are built from a series of development that embrace the surroundings and environment.
Process is just as important as the final result. Along the path, there is a conversation between problem solving, planning, presenting, teamwork, communication and design. I strive to generate and stimulate these conversations.
