About

I am a Design Professional with over 7 years of work experience in the AEC industry, and am a licensed Architect in India with the Council of Architecture. I graduated from Columbia University’s GSAPP, with a degree in Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design, prior to which I completed a five year professional degree in Bachelor of Architecture. I am currently pursuing my Architectural License having completed 80% of my hours, and will be in a good position to give examinations starting the end of this year. I also am studying for LEED AP and WELL certification exams and should complete my certifications by the end of 2023.

In the past couple of years, I have worked on various scales and typology of projects around the globe. Most recently, my works at SOM focus on Life Science and Laboratory projects in San Francisco Bay Area along with Super-tall and mixed use campus design and workplace interior projects in Asia-Pacific and North America region. My extensive work experience gave me the opportunity to interact and meet with consultants and peers who have trained me to look at design through a wider lens of understanding the systems of design and construction as well as designing and committing towards a sustainable future.

My previous professional experiences have trained me in the meticulous production of construction documents and fabrication of elaborate design details as well as managing multiple project through its various phases in relation with the budget, time and sustainable materials. These experiences have made me proficient in the rigorous exchange of ideas through the medium of sketches, physical models and the digital modeling required to work in an interdisciplinary group making me wear multiple hats at once.

My design philosophy looks at celebrating nuances which are at times lost due to their mundane nature, but create a ripple of activities at macro and micro scale. Be it residential, civic spaces or landscape, I believe, that these threads can easily be mapped with human activities and various new typologies of living spaces could emerge!
