About

With my international education and working/researching background, I found myself fascinated by the value of site-specification and contextualization within architectural works that demonstrate their social, historical, and environmental considerations. I am also intrigued by the detail-driven and interior aspects of architectural design.

Education

Columbia University, New York, NY, US, Masters, M.S.AAD

The Master of Science degree in Advanced Architectural Design is a three-semester program aimed at providing outstanding young professionals—who already hold a Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture—the opportunity to conceptualize design as a critical practice that shapes the world’s technological, relational, and environmental evolutions. The program is viewed as a framework for exploring both academic and professional concerns through a set of inquiries and premises: architecture and its design practices are critical in addressing contemporary challenges; architectural specificity is the result of transdisciplinary cooperation; architecture’s future agency lies in the discipline’s capacity to mobilize realities across different scales and time frames. These ideas are explored through innovations in representational tools and the embrace of new probationary artifacts, inviting students to shift away from the specialized mastery of specific scales towards methods of “interscalarity.” By aligning new models of response to new architectural modes of practice, the Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design program strives to empower graduating students in the face of unknown future scenarios.

SEU·Chinese Contest of Rookies Award for Archi- Students, Honorable Mention

The SEU·Chinese Contest of Rookies Award for Archi-Students Competition originated in Japan in 2009 as the "Japan Architecture Newcomer Competition", which provided a platform for active exchange between architecture students' work and competitions, and architectural educators from various countries. It has since expanded to become the annual competition for Asian architecture newcomers.

Organized by the School of Architecture of Southeast University, the "SEU·Chinese Contest of Rookies Award for Archi-Students" is open to architecture students from freshmen to juniors nationwide, aiming to provide a platform for young and vibrant junior designers to compete and encourage them to show their creative and rational design thinking. The China New Architecture Competition is a selection competition, and the best entries will be selected to represent China in the Asia New Architecture Competition. The aim of this competition is to build a new platform that overturns the traditional architectural competition format, and is essentially an open and free architectural showcase and exchange.

The top 100 students will have the opportunity to go to Nanjing to directly participate in the defense, and to communicate face-to-face with many teachers and students from universities and architecture professionals, creating more possibilities for communication and learning among the contestants.
