Green New Deal Superstudio: Project Selection, Exhibition, Other

Project title: Rethinking Infrastructure: Synthesizing a development model from the regional grid to a local hub to usher in clean energy systems
Project description: https://www.gndsuperstudio.com/projects/curated-projects/energize/rethinking-infrastructure
Instructor: Patty Heyda

Selected as one of 55 projects from 1800 submissions to the national "Green New Deal Superstudio" organized by the Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) and other organizations.

The selected projects were exhibited at the Green New Deal Summit at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., in 2022 (https://www.lafoundation.org/take-action/green-new-deal/summit).

"Running from August 1, 2020 until June 30, 2021, the Green New Deal Superstudio was an open call to explore decarbonization, jobs, and justice from a designer’s perspective and give form to what this movement-led vision could mean for the future.

The initiative attracted some 3,000 participants from over 180 studio courses representing over 90 universities in 39 states and 10 countries, as well as hundreds of practitioners from across the design disciplines participating in their own studios." (https://www.gndsuperstudio.com/)
