Three architects were among the group of laureates for this year’s Wolf Prize recognizing contributions to the world of science and culture from a variety of different fields.
DS+R co-founder Elizabeth Diller and Atelier Bow-Wow’s Momoyo Kaijima and Yoshiharu Tsukamoto were named to the prestigious annual accolade.
The 44-year-old prize is given out to “scientists and artists for their achievements in the interest of mankind and friendly relations amongst peoples.” Each laureate receives a $100,000 cash reward in addition to a special certificate that will be handed out in a ceremony at the Israeli Knesset in Jerusalem.
The contingency joins past laureates Moshe Safdie, Peter Eisenman, and Phyllis Lambert as influential architects on the list of 345 total honorees.
