i'm always curious to see what other people are drawing on any given day.
i want to see developing details, crappy space plans that are on their fifth revision, partial renderings, unfinished schedules, non-annotated elevations, etc etc.
no title blocks, nothing completed and absolutely nothing that's client-ready.
nuts and bolts stuff, if you will.
not for bragging rights, obviously, just for perspective. insight.
i'm more interested in the stuff that gets done on any given moment than in seeing the completed thing. though that could be another thread at some point.
give us a pic/screenshot and a tiny blurb about what it is.
make a piece out of it.
there's beauty in the unfinished.
-----------------------------------
here's the first:
partial view of isometric hidden-line renderings of a custom kitchen work-counter. will go to the fabricator for review and shop-drawings.
photoshoping an image for the Beverly Hills Design Review Board (a bunch of doctors, lawyers, and other people who know nothing about architecture telling me what good and bad architecture is)
u have fun at school, but is not fustrating at some point knowing none of the shit u do at school will get built?? im a bit sick of school, i enjoy pro life right now....less fun, more satisfying
I've not been on archinect at all today because I was so entranced learning to use sketchup. I'd never opened the program before today, and in 6 hours I did this - I'm stupidly proud.
liberty come on, be proud show us a larger image. I've constantly said that the best tools are the ones you can learn and use fast - be it a pencil or some widely available program like sk'up.
Was this something you were actually working on or just playing around?
not necessarily a new drawing, but one that's the subject of a charrette that i ran for most of today.
this site proposal helped us get the job but today we had a brainstorming meeting with the client's team, our design team, and the design staff from louisville metro parks - all coming together to really figure out how this initial 12 acre development and the remaining 80 acres to the east/right will interconnect.
marker and colored pencil both. today's drawings were more bubble-y and with sharpies over maps. fun day - and very useful in getting a disparate group of people taking to each other about their goals for this monster.
