OK, I can see having a problem with buying more crap as a cure for the world's problems. But I also have a huge problem with this critical quote from the article:

A whole lot of people out here depend on people buying more crap so that we can make a living and thus donate money to cause we believe in. How about focusing on a real solution that involves getting to a root cause of poverty, which maybe can be accomplished with very small amounts of actual cash?
