    2nd Day of Orientation

Spent the day bumming around school and got the photoblog idea. Went to the library to read up on the history of SCI-Arc: it's origins, key players, and building history. After some debate, Kevin, our seasoned librarian, referred me to "Ray Kappe Retrospective" which was so totally appropriate. Instead of showing up for the optional desk making session, I closed the library down reading and taking notes. Earlier in the day, I finalized my paperwork for the CNC assistant job and helped Jeff, our CNC guru, setup an aluminum job which only occurs a few times per semester, if at all. Later, I poked in as it was being managed by an assistant from last year. The shop sure gets dirty, but the end product and the fact that we have one of the best academic shops around is kick ass. Closed the evening out by going our with the little lady for her birthday... memories like that will last forever... oh and SCI-Arc was cool, too ;)
