Shalmali Wagle is an Architect and Architectural Writer, currently pursuing her Masters in Design Studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Cambridge. She has previously received a Bachelor of Architecture from Manipal University, India, and has worked for 3 years in the field of architectural practice and associated editorial curation. Her work operates at the intersection of architecture, theory, and social psychology.

Some of the major tasks undertaken included:
- Monthly contributions (72 articles) including the curation of 2 issues of the Young Designers Special of the magazine.
- 5 Co-curated and co-authored columns under the title, ‘Ethos’, attempting to decipher elements and ideas sacrosanct to the Architecture of India.
- Worked under the guidance of Architect Charles Correa to re-master and re-store the historic document on the Architecture of India - ‘Vistara’.
- 11 Interviews with renowned architects including Daniel Libeskind, Sir Nicholas Grimshaw and Sir Peter Cook.
- Part of a 5-member core team in the concept and execution of 361 Degrees: The Design Conference, with the themes ‘The New Spirit in Architecture’ in March 2012 and ‘Architecture of Purpose’ in March 2013.
- Conceptualization and execution of an Exhibition on the Interpretation of Sustainability in the Indian Context at the 361 Degrees Conference 2013.
- Part of 3-member team in conceptualization and execution of the 26th Anniversary Special issue titled ‘Practices of Consequence’.
- Coffee Table Books: ‘Earth Matters: Interpretation of Sustainability in the Indian Context’ and ‘High-Rise’.
- A part of the team organizing the Earth Matters Lecture Series: A travelling series with the theme of sustainability in architecture covering 40 Indian cities.
- Represented the magazine at the World Architecture Festival 2012, Singapore and the World Architecture Day 2012, Mumbai.

- Holiday Homes, Satbunga, Nainital: As a part of a 3 member team comprising of the Chief Architect and a fellow architect in the design development of a holiday resort on a contoured Nainital slope.
- The Nangia Farmhouse Complex, Gurgaon: As a project architect (along with the Firm Principal), working on the design and development of a complex comprising of a Host Residence, Guest Cottages and support facilities.
- Mixed Use Development Complex, Rohtak: As a project architect guided by the Chief Architect, working on the design of a mixed use commercial complex.
- Ventura Estate Villa Complex, Gurgaon: As a part of a 3 member team comprising of the Chief Architect and a fellow architect in the design development of a gated community of 8 Villas.
- DLF Magnolias (Interior Design), Gurgaon: As a project architect (along with the Firm Principal), working on the design and execution for the interior design of 3 Apartments (2 Duplex + 1 Simplex).

Development of a secure correctional facility that detains accused and convicted individuals, to provide programs, services and supervision in a humane environment.
- DLF Township at Cochin (Live Project):
Understanding the urban context of the project and the development of a township with the use of “green inside and outside” that was demand of the average local dream.
- Ecotel at Hyderabad (Competition Project):
A competition entry for Transparence’09, the focus of the project was on eco-friendly ways of designing with glass.
- KMC Serviced Apartments and Mixed Use Complex at Manipal.
