Jia is an architecture professional graduated in May, 2017. He originally came from Shanghai, China, came to the States 12 years ago to pursuit higher educations and the dream of being a designer. Fluent in both English and Chinese, and he is capable in areas of both speaking and writing. He has a driving passion for architecture, as he believe that a cities' culture and people is best represented in the architecture of their surrounding. He truly thinks that the power of design is transformative, as it can not only adapt, but also enhance our ways of life. Jia was recently offered an internship position at Gensler LA's Hospitality studio, in their 2016 Summer Intern Program. He also has leadership position on campus working as tutor and peer mentor for assist his fellow students. He has also part taken in numerous competition in high school in both architectural design and leadership, and has won 1st place in several of them.
