Meredith Baber (21) - B.Arch 4th year at Virginia Tech
Brief background/experiences
I have been a part of the core design team of the 2009 Solar Decathlon House since January of 2007 (my second year), and have been working on the design continuously since that time.

I am a member of the collaborative practice, C U P. As a member of C U P, I have worked on History Channel's "City of the Future" competition in January 2008; Suitcase Pavilion, for the London Festival of Architecture; and RBR 360. We do many competitions throughout the year.
Why you chose your school/program
Virginia Tech is now the number one school of architecture in the nation. I chose the school for it's amazing faculty and opportunities.
Architecture interests
Buildings should have thought and purpose in their design. How can we give a gift to society through the buildings we design? Downtown revitalization, community efforts, urban living. Support local ventures!
Other interests
Knitting, Movies, Reading.
