Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities and "design by process"...
Our first assignment for design studio this sem was to write an essay on Italo Calvino's book "Invisible Cities". We had to write an essay on what we think about it and everyone had different opinions on the book. For some students the entire concept just didn click. The three studio teachers told us that this sem we are focusing on design by process and that this essay was the first step to it.

The next thing that was supposed to happen was the Green Building Congress. Unfortunately i couldn make it. But i was told i was missed... ahem ahem ;)

South India has a long weekend. From Friday to Monday. And long weekend in Architecture School means Long list of things to do before Tuesday. So let me get to work now...

Take care fellow school bloggers...
GO!
So we walk into college and that huge block of wood which says School of Architecture was now replaced with R.V. College of Architecture...

The reason behind this is that our college has gained an independent status. Were no longer under the rule of RVCE. But the RSST. Renovations in our department are in its final stages.

The new batch of students that came in are going through their first week of orientation are really really annoying.

Our faculty turned out to be even better than we expected this semester.

The class commenced with a huge debate on churches and why Botta's is better than Meier's... and that began our semester.

Right now im making arrangements for the IGBC congress.

Will keep you updated as to how that goes.

See ya later.

Dilbert Tickle...
k i stole this from my friends facebook photo album... i guess i should have asked him... sorry Shravan... :P

k anyway enjoy...

Helloooo
hey archinect...

Last year was really intense and satisfying... i hope this year is better than the last.

A lot of things have changed though at the college. for starters were getting a new renovated block. which is really great. New faculty and were most probably having two exhibitions this year as oppposed to the one annual r.v.s.a exhibition.

Well, ill try my best to keep everyone updated about all the events.

bye for now...
