About

I fit the description of the Manager-Design and Construction Services you are looking for.  My experience includes over $1.2 billion in private sector work, $400 million in city government contracts, $200 million in public schools program management work and $20 million in university/hospital work over the past 20 years.  I have worked with  a New York City Top 5 Design firm (Perkins Eastman Architects) and ENR-Top 100 CM-for-Fee firm (Greyhawk CM & Consultants) during the past 10 years.  Being a hands-on leader, I have come up through the ranks as architectural intern, project architect, senior architect, CM project manager/ owner’s representative, construction engineer, construction administrator, senior project manager-design and deputy director for preconstruction and project management.

Major Accomplishment(s):  February 2010, at Flushing Town Center (photo above), a new, ground-up $600,000,000 retail and residential complex, I saved the Client $750,000 in 60 days on site by working with the owner, architect, engineering design teams, existing site conditions, general contractor, trade subcontractors, material suppliers and specialty vendors to facilitate the value engineering of the interior architecture of the retail pedestrian concourses during the ongoing construction while maintaining the intent of the architect's original design.

My familiarity with government contracting comes from years of sourcing, proposing, negotiating, and managing work for several city and state government agencies including the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation (NJSCC), District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) and the DC Public Schools system (DCPS).

I was recruited by Don Todd Associates, Inc., a San Francisco-based ENR-Top 100 CM-for-Fee firm in 2005 and relocated from Washington, DC to New York, where I have remained for the past ten years.

Throughout my professional career I have consistently driven myself to meet challenges, exceed goals, and be an effective leader.  I am known for completing projects on time, within budget and on specification while achieving quality excellence.  I would have no problem with immediately stepping into a needed role with your organization on individual projects or a large development program, and would like to meet with you to discuss how I may be of service.  Please feel free to contact me by telephone (862-202-9049) or email ([email protected]) at your convenience.  Thank you for your time and thoughtful consideration.
