Tulane School of Architecture
the timeline doesn't really add anything more to the dates and the descending arrangement of the lectures that are already there, except for the look of a diagram. the timeline might have added more if the lecturers were organized based on a different criterion, say, alphabetized left to right, but were pointing to the proper date of event on the timeline. the dates, the ascending order, and the timeline are repetitively all displaying the similar information.

the poster looks like it could be for a film festival. the reason might be because of the choice of type.

the timeline doesn't show the actual date, dammson. that's on the enlarged info to the side. reminds me of how more detailed info pops up when you hover your cursor over a small item in windows. (maybe this happens on a mac, too, but i don't know.)

i'm biased, both because it's my school and i know the designers (former architecture students, now graphic design firm in n.o.), but i like this one for clarity and hierarchy of information presented.

steven, i can get the actual date from the timeline if i counted the tick marks. the pointing doesn't add anything more, if the actual date is already in the enlarge info to the side.
