We are a young and fast-growing design firm based in Connecticut and New York and are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual to work on a part-time basis.  This candidate will work alongside the principal designer and take part in every design phase. This is a great opportunity to get first-hand experience in managing small to large-scale residential design projects. The position offers flexible hours, and creative freedom along with learning project management skills. The ideal candidate lives in Fairfield County (CT) and is willing to travel to New York City on job-related errands or lives in New York City and is willing to travel occasionally to the office in CT. 

Job Requirements

• Assist team in the production of CAD drawings and details
• Develop 3D Sketch Up models and renderings.
• Prepare InDesign presentations and sit on client presentations
• Source FFE.
• Visit D&D building and vendor showrooms.
• Gather vendor quotes, delivery statuses and prepare FFE budgets.
• Prepare finish schedules and specification packages.
• Assis in FFE procurement.
• Visit job sites and meet with contractors and trade partners.
• Assist in overseeing project installations & deliveries.
• Run project-related errands in New York City.
• Assist in staging for photoshoots.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in high-end residential or hospitality interiors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of trade vendors, furniture, and finishes.
• Ability to work independently and as a team-member.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
