Moss is a full-service architecture and urban design studio in Logan Square. Our practice thrives on diversity, intentionally seeking out various project types. This approach enables us to delve into a multitude of design solutions, encompassing residential, commercial, hospitality, urban planning, and even custom furniture projects.

We seek an Intermediate Project Architect | Designer with at least 3-5 years of expertise in residential (detailing interiors/exteriors), commercial, and mixed-use projects to join our studio. We firmly believe that exceptional architecture thrives when nurtured by a team-oriented and collaborative approach. Consequently, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and interdisciplinary group to develop optimal design solutions for our clients. The applicant should possess comprehensive experience across all aspects of project design, including programming, schematic design, coordination with clients and consultants, construction documents (CDs), permitting, bidding/pricing, and construction administration (CA).

We work closely with our clients, and the ability to draw by hand, strong presentation, client engagement, communication, and organizational skills are essential. We value work-life balance and offer flexible working and no mandatory overtime.

REQUIREMENTS:
B.Arch or M.Arch

Freehand drawing skills

At least 3-5 years of experience in an architecture studio, including design, construction documents, and construction administration

Experience creating renderings and graphics for client presentations

Strong design creativity and technical proficiency

Ability to coordinate with consultants and owner representatives, contractors, and architectural team members

Manage projects through all phases, from schematic design to construction administration

Ability to create conceptual, presentation, and technical drawings

Experience performing zoning and building code research

Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp or V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite

Organized and systematic presentation and communication skills, verbal and written.

Experience with construction and field experience a plus

Authorized to work in the U.S.
