I'm hoping someone can help me out here, and as I'm sure many of you have traveled abroad, I'm thinking this is the place to ask.

I'm trying to find a high-quality image of Corbusier's Modulor man image that was formed in the concrete at his Unite d'habitation. The only one I've been able to find is on the cover of Jacques Guiton's "The Ideas of Le Corbusier on Architecture and Urban Planning" but because of the shadow across parts of it I can't make out the details in the face and knees. I'm going to make a silk screen out of it hopefully, but would like to be as true to the original as possible.

If anyone could either post a high-quality detailed image or email me one if they'd rather, I'd truly appreciate it.

Thanks beta, that a big help.
Does anyone know if there is anything going on in the face besides the crazy ears/hat?

Yeah, thats what it kinda looks like... odd clothing priorities. I'll typically go with pants over a fedora.

Is it just me or is the modulor one of the ugliest things to come from a great architect?

...uh, I hope its not just me or I'm going to get flamed for saying that.

it is kinda ugly...but related back to the aesthetics of the period is not that bad, i guess at the time it was relevant.

wait to say ugly untill you look at his paintings!

I'm a big fan of it, hence my little art project I'm doing to teach myself silk screening. I've always liked it because there is a very technical aspect in its free form. Yeah, it looks all curvy and abstract, but the height of the navel, head, etc. are at very specific heights etc. The same can be said for his paintings, the majority of which were controlled by regulating lines (or at least thats my understanding of their composition). Plus the simple aesthetic appeal to me also.

is there anyone that does this sort of addition into
concrete anymore? herzog demueron do potentially similar
things...miralles at the scottish embassy i believe did some
things in concrete...anyone else...

and how can you not like the whimsy of the modulor man
that's also a helpful device..beats looking at graphic
standards or standard human measurements or somesuch
book...
