Furlough; productive uses for a

d-arch

Not to be insensitive to everyone who really is hurting right now, but is anyone managing to make it on reduced hours/income and enjoying some time outside of work now that we're not camped out at the office 'til 1am every Saturday night?

I've taken up cycling, a few colleagues have begun running and are now training for marathons, some folks started dating or got engaged, people are learning to cook and eating healthier - in general, some semblance of a work-life balance is creeping in.

Are you or have you seen anyone else making the best of working less?

i know lots of folks that are working reduced hours and really enjoying it. they're doing volunteer work, serving on committees, competitions, designing/building furniture/lighting, biking, spending time with kids and cooking a lot.

oh, and watching world cup.

May we always stay recessed, at least in our hearts.
