I have looked at dean's pages to try to get a better idea of what each school focuses on.....
I know there is a ton of info in these discussion boards, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any resource here or elsewhere that gives a sum up of different schools and their focuses.
Excuse me if this has already been posted multiple times... I just couldn't find it if it does exist.....

everybody will say different things.

And this board is full of information (almost too much to reasonably search through).

And schools are slowly (or quickly) changing directions.

The best way to do this effectively is to:

A) Talk to people you trust (Professors, employers, friends) to see what their thoughts are

B) Look at the school's web pages, and the work produced and courses offered

C) Look at the faculty at the schools you're looking into to see what they're doing. A shift in faculty can quickly change the shift of a school (depending on the school)

Similarly, find architects who you think are working in a meaningful (or at least interesting) direction and see where they teach.
