My office is currently building on it's overhead projects list in an attempt to keep folks productive during some potentially slow periods.
Fortunately that means taking some case study opportunities seriously, so we're going to start by assessing the daylighting strategies of some built projects.
We were intially planning to "pass around" the 30 day trial version of Ecotect but I was wondering if you had some suggestions of some good...cheap...if not free...energy modeling programs.

Hey Salty

Here is a inhotpursuit.net/?p=403]listof analysis software that I am currently investigating. I am trying to do this at the same time that I am juggling my final year of school..

For daylighting look at Radiance(freeware) with ecotect (30 Day)

or Dialux (freeware)

For energy - look at eQuest
