I'm applying for Fall 2010, and I'm looking for schools that offer a dual M.Arch / MCP program. My one criteria, other than having the right program and a good reputation, is that it's in or near an urban area (just a personal preference).

So far my list consists of:
-MIT
-Harvard
-Columbia
-UPenn
-Berkeley
-U Maryland
-UVA (the one rural exception, since I live in va)

If anyone is familiar with these schools, I'd love to hear opinions / comments / criticisms. Also, feel free to suggest other schools I might want to check out.

i recently visited the school and was very impressed by their m.c.p. program after having a very long meeting with an urban design professor and then a conversation with the chair. the program seems especially great if you're interested in transportation. the chair of the planning school is a specialist in that area. as far as their m.arch program, i only know it has an excellent reputation, but did not meet with anyone from that department while there. i did, however, walk through their studio space, which was quite large.

you could always check out NJIT. They have a dual M.Arch / MIP (masters of infrastructure planning).

Not really on the same level as the ivies but still a decent program. It has the NYC access which is a plus
