Interesting FWD from Design New Haven . org:
---------
Central New Haven has a population density equivalent to Chicago and Brooklyn. Connecting a linear series of 8 parking lots through the heart of Downtown, a new street will promote tax revenue and walkability and promote the short, Jane-Jacobs style blocks that were destroyed during the 1950s.
This is needed in particular within an area where blocks are currently too wide to support construction with efficient window frontage (250 feet). More material is available through the links on the page.
