Looking for a room in New York

My fiancé and I are moving to New York City at the end of august.

She is going to grad school, and I will be working part time while looking for full time work in the city. (she is a teacher and i am intern architect).

Our income is steady, and we are looking for a safe neighborhood with easy access to Manhattan (express to upper west side if possible).

We are both in our early 20’s and are looking for roommates that are friendly and respectful.
